Monday Roundup Vol. 002

So I realize it isn’t Monday, but like I have already said, I have been very busy this week with school and such.  Still, not to make excuses, I finally got around to making the second edition of the Monday releases, in what I like to call, the Monday Roundup.  This week we have great releases from the likes of Tony Romera, David Puentez, and Filo & Peri.  My personal favorites come in Tony Romera’s bass heavy remix for David Hopperman, as well as the new original from David Puentez titled “Tripl3.”  However, if you like big sounding Progressive anthems with a hands in the air type breakdown and a soothing female vocal to  carry you through to the drop, then I recommend Project 46 and Dubvision’s collaboration titled “You & I,” or the new banger from Alex Hide called “Invasion Of Love.”  Whatever you pick, there is no way to go wrong, so take a listen to them all, and grab the ones you like from Beatport.

Zedd – Clarity (Album Teaser)

*
Zedd, the German Electro House producer taking over an entire genre right now, is set to release his new album on October 2nd on iTunes, with all other major outlets releasing the album on October 9th.  This is a huge step for the L.A. based producer, who has multiple releases on labels such as OWSLA, Interscope, and Subliminal.  Explect to be included on the album tracks such as “Slam The Door,” “Shotgun,” and the massive end of summer smash hit “Spectrum.”  The teaser does just that, teases of a song that may be the introductory track to Clarity, but expect the album to be packed with non-stop Zedd bangers.  Be on the look out for Clarity in the next couple of weeks.

Alvaro – Make The Crowd GO (Original Mix)

Returning to Spinnin’ Records after his first release on Sander van Doorn’s label, Doorn Records, is the always eccentric and humorous Alvaro.  “Make The Crowd GO” has been played out live by the likes of superstar DJs such as David Guetta, Tiesto, and Afrojack to name a few.  The track sports a typical Dutch House lead, but falls into the category of a peak time set track.  This track is absolutely made for the clubs and deserves your attention. Make sure to check out this club banger and grab it from Beatport.

Arty & BT feat. Nadia Ali – Must Be The Love (Original Mix)

Having teased this track in his sets for quite some time, I can only imagine Arty is very pleased to have this track finally released on Armind Recordings.  Teaming up with Trance legendary record producer BT, as well as the majestic and beautiful Nadia Ali, the trio create what is the be know as “Must Be The Love,” a winding and swirling blend of Big Room and Trance chords and synths combined with cinema style sounding percussion.  The breakdowns of the track are my personal highlight, combining Nadia’s euphoric vocals with beautifully written chord progressions.  I cannot wait for my collaborations with any of these three in the future, but for now I am incredibly content.  Check out the track below and make sure to grab this monster on Beatport.

Apster – Marrakech (Original Mix)

After huge success with Eva Simmons on “I Need More,” which also was released on Wall Recordings, Apster is back with another imprint on Afrojack’s label called “Marrakech.”  Blending arcade sounding synths with playful synths and melodies, “Marrakech” quickly takes a turn towards Apster’s traditional sound: a blend of oddly layered bass lines with sprinkles of accompanying synths from many different influences.  Apster never fails to impress, but I do hope that he plans to add a vocal for the breakdowns, adding some extra layers and personalities to the track.  We can only wait and see my friends.  Check out the track below and make sure to grab it at Beatport when you’re ready.

Klavay & Mike Ellis – Tip Toe (Original Mix)

Sorry I didn’t get around to the posts I wanted to today guys.  Massive day at school, but fear not I have made some progress.  After a few months, I finally got around to finishing the master for my good friend, Mike Ellis, and I’s original track, “Tip Toe.”  It’s such a relief to finally have this little number done, sounding close to what I believe is professionally mixed and mastered.  Please, feel free to comment as much as you want on anything regarding the track whether the creative elements individually, the mixing, or the mastering job.  I want to send a huge shout out to my production partner on this one, Mike Ellis.  So with that, listen, comment, and enjoy “Tip Toe.”

A few days ago, wildly talented producer Hatiras released his remix of Kylian Mash’s “Certified,” which features the vocals of Akon and rapper Glasses Malone.  The remix is a typical funk filled Hatiras banger that shows of Hatiras’ skills with vocal processing and layering into an energized and grooving house track.  Make sure to take a listen to the track below and grab it at free expense from Hatiras himself!  Enjoy!

Burns – Lies (Otto Knows Remix)

Out today on Deconstruction Records is the remix package to Disco and Indie Dance phenom producer, Burns.  “Lies” features remixes from the likes of Skream, Tiga, but most notably is the remix by Swedish producer Otto Knows.  Recently, the Swede has been becoming somewhat of a house hold name in EDM with his most credible original production “Million Voices” released earlier this year on Refune Records.  The Otto Knows remix of “Lies” features a wonderful pleasant melody line that accompanies the beautiful vocals of the original production.  Take a listen to the track below and be sure to grab this and any of the other mixes at Beatport.
